The last Flash website built for Microsoft. This site was built for Microsoft's Voice Over IP (VOIP) products. The site features a scrolling panorama of an IT room. As you move from section to section in the site, you traverse through the densely packed room of routers, servers and patch cables. Extras included the film featuring Dan, an IT guy resisting the upgrading of old PBX hardware like a tree sitter. This was one of the first test subjects for the Guttershark AS3 framework. Using Guttershark, I was able to crank the site out very quickly under a tight deadline.
Flash 9, Objected-Oriented AS3, Guttershark Framework

Modern Amusement (MA) is a boutique clothing company based in Southern California. The site features general information as well as their online shop. The challenge with MA was seamlessly integrating the front-end website with the shopping platform which were both hosted on physically different servers. There was also limitations with with the third-party shopping cart framework and hosting. Using clever Javascript and PHP techniques I was able to seamless move the user between the store and the front-end website. We handed over all code to MA and I am extremely proud of how they kept the site maintained.

McCann NY wanted a digital presence at The One Show. This site is an augmented reality experience where a user can control the One Show pencil to draw in 3D space. The user also has the option of capturing a still image of their masterpiece. The challenge was in capturing the actual rotation and coordinates of the QR code held by the user. Small modifications had to be made to the FlarToolkit to get this data and to smooth out the shaking of the user's hand.

This website was created for Pharell Williams and N.E.R.D. for their hip-hop single Everyone Nose. The site accompanied a music video directed and shot by agency T.A.G. The site features snippets of video and photo sequences from the real-life party. As the song progresses video panels are shut off or "removed by request." The more revealing and erotic panels are removed first giving the feeling that the site is being censored as the user browses the site.
Flex 3, Object-Oriented AS3

Priceless Pointers are a series of financial calculator widgets built for Mastercard. The widgets were built with the goal of hosting them on the website, as OSX gadgets, Yahoo! widgets and allowing users to embed them on their own websites. Using the Guttershark framework I worked with a team of three developers split between NY and SF to build out five widgets. It was a great example of successful agile development in a team setting. It allowed us to greatly refine the Guttershark framework and improve our workflow. I concentrated on UI development as well as developing a custom graphing solution.

For two years I was lead developer for mervyns.com. Responsibilities included regular maintenance, seasonal creative refreshes and feature additions. Mervyns.com was developed with C#, MS SQL Server, XHTML/CSS/Javascript, and Flash.

Tonik is a health insurance product by Wellpoint (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) targeted towards a young demographic. I lead the development of specific application builds that conformed to state HIPAA laws and regulations. The front-end of Tonik was originally built on a proprietary AS2 XML framework. Later it was rebuilt in Flex with AS3. The back-end was driven by Java on WebSphere. Tonik required extensive knowledge in moving data between Flash, Javascript, PHP, HTML, and Java. The main application brought the user from registration, through a series of health questions, finishing with auto ajudication with a quoted monthly cost if applicable. The project also required leadership of offshore development and QA teams in India and China.
Flash 8/Flex, Object-Oriented AS2/AS3, PHP, Java, Oracle, Webshpere

For SanDisk's new wi-fi connected mp3 player I created a Flash product demo used on the product website as well as on retail kiosks. The demo walked the user through the process of connecting to a wi-fi network, streaming music, and browsing FLickr photos.
